Some other folks might have more specific comments, but I will give you my .02. I also experienced unexplainable wierdness when upgrading a MICS from 4 to 7. Not the same thing, but wierdness never the less. Some of it was already posted on this site and I won't bore you with it. I do know what Nortel support told me to do and what Nortel support usually tells you to do when a) you have a good understanding of the product and have methodically eliminated possible explanations via standard programming and b) what everyone agrees is unexplanable behavior is still taking place.

The probem is generally described as "corruption"; course of action (if you don't want to buy new hardware.)

1) Perform startup procedure on MICS and reprogram from scratch.
2) Default and reinitialize Norstar Voicemail and reprogram from scratch

No guarantees

All the troubleshooting that you have described makes sense to me, and does not suggest any other specific course of action. Good Luck.
