I could not agree with Slag more!!! I have replace of 12 cards in my system due to a freaking defect in Nortel's manufacturing... and guess what... our site happened to miss the Nortel recall period, therefore we had to pay out of pocket.
What SLAG stated is incorrect. Reseating the card will normally temporarily get rid of the problem if this is what we are thinking of.
You will actually want to replace the card.
www.vibestech.com will repair the card for abour 200 dollars and it will come back with a 2 year warranty. This is what we did for all of ours. Do you have a spare? If not they can send you a replacement one and they will keep the one you send in for a little more money.
To reseat the card...
Login to your terminal
LOGI
enter your password at the PASS? prompt
type LD 20
Type DISC ll cc
Where LL is the loop and CC is the card. Hopefully your punch down area is labeled. The card should turn red after disabling. There should be two hing mechanism to retract wich will allow you to slide the card forward. Slide it forward then slide it back into position. Restore hinges.
Return to your terminal and type ENLC LL CC. Your card should blink several times then the light should go off. test your phones.
Type ****
and LOGO
to logoff the terminal
You will want to follow the same proceedure when your when you get your card replace, that is you will actually replace the card instead of reseating.
