Hey Rix, Basically for example...we have this set up for Indianpolis... employees here just have to dial 8 to get an outside line and the 7 digit DID of employees in Indy...instead of having to dial 8 to get an outside line and then 1-317-xxx-xxxx. This has been set up for 4 prefixes already..but this was done by Bell..i want to know where the did this change and how i can set this up for 2 new prefixes. Thanks for your help! |
Dave we have it set up on AC2,
Our users Dial 9 + Number for regular calls AC1
or
Dial 8 + loc + Extension for Interoffice calls. AC2
Go to LD 90
PRT
0
NET
AC2
ALL
See if there is anything there,
If you use 8 for all calls it may be AC1
Print your SPN's, LOC and NXX's to see if you can find the numbers you dial.
Jack, Quick Dial seems to be easier to integrate then a speed call list because it is already in the dialing plan (for our site)
So users know to dial 8+code to get to other offices, also it is more secure (speedcall is secure too in the same manner) as you can not dial numbers that are not assigned and I can direct what trunks I would like the traffic to route over..so when I introduce ITG Trunks, I can implement it inter office seemlessly because the user won't know that anything changed.
This seems to work best on my site, this may not be the best set up elsewhere.
