| The lineside T1 card sits in an IPE shelf of the system and looks like 1 and 1/2 analog cards. This double slot card uses all 16 TN's onthe first slot, and 8 TN's onthe second slot. The T1 interface is onthe back of the card, and is NOT part of LD 60 where your normal T1's reside. Fromthe PBX perspective it sees this card as an anlog line card, and any features you can provision on an analog set, can be provisioned on this card. Signaling fromthe back of the card to the conneted device (Dictaphone in your case) is via E&M AB-bit signalling. If you suspect that the calls might be dropping due to the card, you need a T-Berd on the T1 interface to monitor the bit patterns. This card is fully documented in the Circuit Card Description and Installation NTP Document Number: 553-3001-211 Document Release: Standard 2.00 Date: September 2004 Be sure to see the updated NTP as there was a DIP switch settings table that was recently updated in this document. |
