We had the local college shooting some last night...Obviously semi pro (or a drunken pro) fireing off the mortars.....one didn't go as planned, landed in our back yard before exploding.....scared the &%!#@! outta me!!!
even see one of those BIG STAR lights up close? (talking probably what started out as a 10"-12" mortar ending up as a flash that light up the whole house and scorched about a 15' diamater in the yard....)
Lucky for us :
1) Catholic college=apologetic and $$$$ to repair the damage
2) Neighborhood of Police and Firefighters so any damage beyond the grass would be quickly dealt with
3) had the sprinkler going so the grass didn't completely catch on fire....
