It is possible to do a database conversion from an Option 61C to an Option 81C as part of an upgrade process so I wouldn't worry about that aspect. There is also a process to transfer ISM credits from one system to another (for example if you wanted to decommission the 61C and add to the 81C, or vice versa).
You haven't mentioned the processors on the 61C/81C (where hardware lifecycle could come into play) of the respective software releases (which will indicate whether or not you can add capacity without having to upgrade to Succession 3.0). |
