To the point.. repeated msgs of same type could mean you have a potential failure. Here is a little quote from the NTP regarding your switch (I have cut out some of the text which doesnt apply):

The XMI messages indicate problems with the communication between the
NT8D04 Network Card and the NT8D01 Controller card.
XMI messages
XMI0000 aaaa Message “aaaa” received from a Network Card (NT8D04). The possible
messages are:

2. MSG FROM SHELF x: XPEC ERROR 0001. This error is usually self
correcting. If may indicate a double timeslot problem or invalid call teardown....
2. a. If message occurs rarely, ignore it.
b. If it occurs often, replace the Controller.

Keep in mind, that excessive msgs of the same error, really are not good. To avoid them is definitely asking for a midnight surprise. Good Luck
