Hello,
I have a ground start trunk which when I monitor at Demarc with my butt set has some noise on it. However I can go off hook, apply a ground, and get clear dial tone.
When I use a maintenance set to test the trunk (LD 36 TRK...) I get the noise that I got from demarc and error TRK017.
Why can I get dial tone from the butt set fine but not through the PBX?

Any thoughts?

PS I've tried moving the trunk to another trunk port and the problem follows
