I am connecting an NTAK10AA E1 card to a Cisco voice gateway in South America and I am doing this remotely from the US. Need to know more about this card. This card apparently supports R2 signalling. How is the card configured by default? What release should be running on the Meridian, does the card support R2-compelled register signalling, u-law or a-law, metering, answer-signal group, and category? My dilemma is I don't know how to configure this card but knowing what its default parameters are and its capabilities I can configure the Cisco gateway to match. I've tried several configs on the Cisco box but it keeps reporting blocked ports although the E1 is up with no alarms. Any help is appreciated.
