There are several different colour codes for cables - so that plan may not fit.
To "count out" a cable - carefully strip the insulation from the last 20cms of cable trying not to let the individual wires fall apart as you will need to be able to identify the groups (I usually tie the last cm with a cable tie which enables me to pull pairs out of the bunch).
You now need to identify the starting point such as a red blue pair (depending on colour coding) - and pull this pair out of the bunch - now you should be able to see which the next pair are by simply following the "twist" of the cable - pull out the next 9 pairs in order & wrap the red blue pair around the following 9 pairs to give you your first 10 pair group.
As soon as the first 10 pairs are done the rest should be easy.
You can later "buzz out" the panels to check your work.
