PBX connectivity via serial port

Should be no issues.
What type of Tenor. Digital or Analog.

And for what purpose? Paging, transfer, voicemail,... What are the features you need. That will base if you use port to port mapping or not for the recommended set up.

All the Tenors use analog ports. So they will work with any telephone system capable of using POTS in/out trunks and POTS in/out sets.

If you are using PRI/T1, then it just resides between the Demarc and PBX.
This is the preferable equipment for redundancy since the unit will auto fail to land lines without a hickup, even if you unplug the gateway.

Analog will kill the call if the Internet connection just dies, it needs 1.5 seconds to iniciate the call before switching to land lines. PRI/T1 being digital does not need the time to set up the call.

My staff are fully trained on the Tenor, and we have implemented Tenors with MICS and Meridian, so we should be able to help you with any questions or issues that arrise.

I personally like the Quintum units, and think you will be very satisfied with the prformance they give you.
Just for curiousity, is it price that is stopping you from using the Nortel IP solution?
