The Usual rules apply no using of a Mobile phone in the Hospital. There are alot of areas staff are allowed to use mobiles, but the Public is definately discouraged from using their mobile phones this is usually because they can go into areas where it may be more critical not to have them causing interferance and just being distracting/disturbing to other patients and Doctors.

We are only using the devices for LCR and nothing else.
I am actually using the Psitek devices, but I am not saying they are best. They work for us and work well. I would actually prefer a 19" rack mount unit, tidier and easier to maintain, but the cost of these did not allow us to do it at the time we started this project.

I have two hospital sites (One campus) one Public and one Private they both have the devices installed.
I am using two different mobile (GSM) carriers to gain the maximum cost savings from LCR. (some carriers are cheaper calling other multiple carriers).
All of the devices are installed in areas that are seperate to any medical equipment. One lot is setup next to one of the PABXs and the other lot is setup in a comms room attached to a Data Centre, the devices cause 'no' more interference than a normal mobile phone.
You can actually double the cost savings I have mentioned above because that was for one site only.
