The MD110 is still Ericsson's Enterprise PABX, going to firmaware BC12 would give you IP and is fully expandable.
Almost full capacity which is a problem.
Quote from Ericsson to bring it up to date and to spec and an extra LIM (Line Interface Module) plus a couple of other things (such as new VM system, and new backup batteries and rectifier) was about AUD$160K.
For a brand new PABX for the exact same specs after Upgrade was about AUD$197K for a NEAX 2400 IPX.
It has been my recommendation to my boss to buy back the PABX and do any critical upgrades now and continue an ongoing upgrade of the sytem.
The LIM can added at anytime and is fully self supported reducing downtime, and can even be located in another location.
After Upgrade I do not see any advantages of buying a new PABX.
