benefits of upgrading from a 61 to an 81

Our company has an on-site vendor who has a server that has phone-home capabilities for error reporting. Our security people want them to have an analog port for their unit, but don't want them dialing back in, unless we give them access for a short period of time. Simple, huh? Give them a type 500 port with a non-DID number. That's what I did, but they want more. They want any of the comm team to make a change to the line whenever needed. The people I bounce ideas off of, say that there is no easy way to toggle on/off inbound dialing for a DN such as changing a CLS or another feature. Does anyone know if this can be done? I'm a data guy in my other life, and know how to shut/no shut switch ports.

The switch is an Option 81.

Thanks in advance
