This is going to sound weird but - I will be interviewing candidates for a new corporate Telecom Manager (sounds weird because I am a branch telecom manager) and I am a little stuck on what questions to ask. These people will have already been through the CIO, Network Director etc and I am the one who is supposed to tell them if the candidates know anything about the nitty gritty technology.

Anyone have any ideas on what questions to ask someone who will be basically an adminstrator ensuring we all use the same technology, not spending too much money and ensures our teleco is keeping its promises?

PS - I already know these folks from previouse connections so I sorta know what it is that they know - maybe we should just go for a beer and call it an interview.
