I had used MAT with OPT 81C in the past and this is what I remember:

Example 8001 in MAT = "8" is the last digit of the route from you Meridian. And "001" is the first trunk or channel of this group. If you had a T-1 with 24 channel's in MAT it will go from "8001 - 8024".
