Rep Power: 7dixiedogger is on a distinguished road
Bruce is correct you must dis the tty of the xsm in 37 then you must pull the system monitor out of the switch. That is the key point. Remember the tty is communication only. the xsm card is what trips the breakers and it will do it 60 seconds after it senses the open on the thermal switch which will occur when you unplug the ribion cable. Then just turn power off to the ipe shelf unplug the cabels put the top cap back on. shove the xsm back in (about 1 to 15 chance this will trip all breakers on that colum only if it does just turn them back on) and reenable the tty for the xsm in 37. and your done. I sure the book probably says to shut down the whole colum but I like it on the edge and this procedure has worked fine for me except for the breakers tripping occasionaly when the xsm is replaced.
