| Try doing FC 360 on his phone. The display should then say Auto CO Answer On. If it says Auto CO Answer Off then do the code again to make sure it is On.
Does the phone ring on lines other than lines 1 or 2 or on intercom calls? You can adjust the ring volume by pressing volume up or down and then save it by pressing it right in the middle. You can try another phone in this location as well to see if that helps.
