You are right, this is supposed to be pretty simple. the problem is that I can't connect to the TD1232 at all and I rechecked the cable pin assignments X times already. I need to try a shorter cable and purchase a USB to serial bridge, which I should do next week

Thank you very much for the links. The looked for information was right in the PG and FG documents and I am extremely grateful for your help in pinpointing the values.
I am going to look for the 101 port and try to see what I can do. Feature-wise this unit is pretty rich save from PC world integration
