| I am assuming calls are answered when they come into the systemby a CRA? Before you try this make sure to document any settings so if needed you can change them back if this does not work. If so try this: This is rare but reported on loop start Caller ID only. The voice processor application (CRA or AA) may answering the call too quickly (If it answers in the first ring cycle before Caller ID (CID) arrives, CID is not received.) 1. Adjust the 'Caller ID Ring Idle' timer shorter so it is ready to detect CID sooner. 2. Lengthen the 'LS/GS Trunk Ring Detection' timer (default 5/10) to 15/10 give or take a few tenths, typical ring voltage lasts 2 seconds (20/10) then 4 second no voltage and is when CID is sent, so we are forcing a delay in ring detection. Be careful here as you can make the system not detect ring at all intermittently if it is set too close to end of the ring signalling period. 3. If the timer adjustments do not help the situation, we suggest sending the ring in to a hunt group (no members required) and have the hunt group Recall Destination be the CRA after 2 - 6 seconds. Or, a 'Phantom' extension forwarded either system forward or manual forward on 'no answer' will accomplish the same thing. This will envoke enough delay in answering to allow the caller ID to be received. __________________ Life is a highway.... |
