| Just a part number change, they are functionally identical. Both are 266Mhz/256Meg RAM controllers and can be used with up through rel 9.0 software as is, if you want to go to rel 9.1 and higher, a RAM upgrade to 512Meg is required.
You shouldn't have to worry about getting obsolete hardware with a CX/CXi controller, it is still a current product. Stay away from the original MX (I mean the original 133Mhz, not the newer MXe) new software support ends with release 9.0, since the processor and RAM cannot handle 9.1 and higher |
