| Option 61C to 1000E Replacing Fiber Remote
We are upgrading a 61C with the traditional core and IPE columns to the new CS1000E chassis architecture, and I have a fiber remote cabinet that needs to be replaced. I have been told that you can simply remove the fiber receiver card out of the remote cabinet, insert the Media Gateway Controller (and of course the necessary connections), program the IP information, and done is done. Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
