| How to get SMDR output from Nitsuko DX2ET Hi, We have this ancient Phone system, and we connected it up with a Recording server/software combo. The server doesnt support Digital extensions, so we ended up connecting it to the trunk lines. It records everything, but we dont have any Extension related information, and its very hard to ID the calls. We are based in Dubai, and getting support here is very difficult. The best thing I got was from the call recording software's guys, and they said I need SMDR output from my PBX, a Nitsuko DX2ET-32BM. This will give info to the server via COM port about the current phone call, so the files can be saved according to their origination extension. We have a Master phone, a Nitsuko DX2ET-16TXH and this guy has a special connector in the bottom. The guys from the software company told me if I connect this handset to a COM port, and have it hanging off a real extension, it will pass the necessary info to the server. My questions is where would I go to buy a cable like this? I am browsing for hours now, but I am not getting smarter. The problem is I am new to Telephony, and to be honest, apart from a few things, I dont understand much. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Ben Last edited by bence8810; August 26th, 2008 at 04:44 AM. Reason: Attach Image |
