What Web said, in fact enjoy this bit of info cause most Octel 250 (if thats what you have) will need resynching at least once a month, I have a case with Avaya related to that same issue to stop the unsynching from happening. In secret: Avaya knows there is an issue but will not admitt it publicaly because they are getting rid of the Octels as they are not that great of a VM System. From what I was told, they are moving to Intuity Systems which combines Octel and AUDIX features, they only took over Octel to eliminate the competition. Enough useless facts, my suggestion is to have Avaya turn off the ability for the User to decide wether the notifyer is on or off and leave it to default at 'Y'. BUT before you do that make sure everyone's MWI is set to 'Y' and preferably have Avaya turn off the User's Admin part after hours, that way there will be no mistake of turning the Administration part off after a User accidently set it to no. If that happens then only Avaya can clear it. If you need more specifics let me know, I am an old hat with the silly MWI Octel Issue. |
