This sounds like you're trying to activate the Auto Set Relocate feature (swapping xtns/hot desking) whether it be temporary or permanent (depending on programming). However 1994 is the default code for the Directory feature so this may have been changed in NPL.

But this doesn't relate to your original post about Boss groups??????

If it's Auto Set Relocate you're wanting to do and you're getting a 'busy tone' then something is wrong. Firstly check NPL and Show your feature codes (NPL,0,5,9) and see what is on Index 220 to see what Auto Set Relocate is. Check KEY (or IST/SLT) for the xtn you want to swap with and see what the PASSCODE is set to. Then dial eg ffff xxxx pppp eee - ffff is the Feature code, xxxx is the xtn you want to swap with, pppp is the passcode of the xtn you're swapping with, and eee is the Edit confirmation code (see NPL,0,5,10).

Are you usign a Keyset? What shows on the screen?
