Hi, I am having problem connecting to toshiba's via hyperterminal, I can connect fine when using win2000 but not with XP, sorry to sound an idiot. It seems as though when I set my settings in hyperterminal as 7 Data bits when clicking on connect this then reverts back to the default 8 Data bits.

Please can anyone help, this is very frustrating.
