A mailbox can only be associated to one extension. However an unasssociated mailbox can light the light on an extension. Voicemail is not the only device that can leae a message. There is what is called a silent message which is done by calling an extension and then pressing the msg key and hanging up. When the phone that has the silent msg presses the msg key the phone that left the msg is called back. This msg will not be cleared until the calling party answers the phone. One call tell what the destination of the msg is by pressing the msg key. So press the msg key and see what the destination is. On the 8602 press the spk key and then press the msg key.
