Lines 241-4xx are reserved as "Target Lines" on the system. Target lines have a programming field called "recieved numbers". The Central office is sending a certain number of digits, incoming, on your 30 channel circuit. When the circuit is ordered, you agree on a certain number of those digits to be sent down the circuit, for example (USA), 555-517-1234, you agree on 4 digits with the Central Office. When someone dials 555-517-1234, the Central Office sends "1234" to your phone system, on 1 of the channels (dynamically). In the recieved number field, under Target Line 244 (eg), you enter 1234. The target line is the "mechanism" that the phone system uses to route that call. You would go to extension 333 (eg) and assign line 244 to extension 333, usually ring only, 2 appearances. When the phone number is called it will appear on one of thier intercom buttons.
