Capacity Question

I have a big site up here, we are doing a major upgrade to IP and qmaster. I have a question on the capacities outlined in the system manual. The table doesnt make much sense to me like most of the nec manuals.

It states on the table for 3400 or later that u can have a max of 1020 LT, IP and PS ports. Then its subdivided to 512 LT ports and 956 IP ports.

The site im upgrading has apporximately 400 virtuals programmed. It has a massive call centre and most of these are CTI queues for q master. It has approx 200 LTs attached already. They currnetly have a nortel system which we are gonna change out to all IP handsets off the NEC. The total amount is in the 300 area. I dont have exact numbers on me at the moment.

So my question is has anyone ever exceeded these capacities. Does the system allow for the exceeded number to be programmed and then only assign the amount of Time slots it has available? Or will I get a hardware error in moc mode when I try to program past the number.

SO if the capacity of IP and Virtual extensions is 956 I should be ok in this area with the amount of virtuals and IP handsets I have?

Last thing I need is this to stuff up on a cutover. I will be loading some scripts shortly and dont wanna kill any virtuals either while this call centre is running.
