I surely could use some help.
I'm setting up this switch for installation soon -

1. I try to do a trace & it times out - where is this timer?

A trace will not stay up indefinitely and there is no way to change that. Even if you are actively tracing traffic it will stop after it has four screens of data.

2. Call Fwd to cell phone (using SAC). Thru call cov r - yes?

When call forwarding to a phone outside your PBX, make sure your permissions allow that in the COS. Cover remote and call forward are two different features. Cover remote is used in a cover path, To call forward off net, enter the forwarding info just as though you were dialing the number. 9+1+areacode+number (if a different area code).

Can I make it access a specific trk grp.?

Yes, if you have the direct dial set to yes on the trunk group. In this case, you would set your call to TAC+1+areacode+number (no 9).

3. From AA I dial 'O' to call extension w/call cov grp. 1 in cov path 1
In my call cov - p1 = ext att., p2 = ext w/bridged app on sets.
calls ring as they should but go back to att. no matter what I
put in p3.

If your first point in the coverage path is an attendant, that is where the call will go. no option after that will work.

Also I can't seem to control the rings inside the cov grp.

That is correct, you cannot change the number of rings in cover answer group.

3. Please see my other thread.

If you can show me the way - I owe you big time....
Thanks, Jeff
