| Well firstly I'd say your wiring is good if u can receive incoming external calls. Try accessing the line with a co key on one of the system phones. This will prove whether u have access to the line itself.
To get into programming do the following from a display system phone on the first 6 way ddk
Keep handset down
program
*# followed by system password which u should know
then press speaker key
You are now in phone programming. Hold takes you back to the beggining and speaker is the ' next ' key. Auto dial stores saves your programming.
Try the following. Go into programing as above. Dial 400. This step assigns which lines are connected. Press speaker. Press speaker to scroll through each line. Toggle all unconnected lines to disable / disconnect using auto answer key. Press auto dial store to save and program key to exit.
I think the problem is the system is set to dial out on the highest line first which isn't connected.
