I personally would swap the IOUD/C's via LD 137, then repeat.
Typically 1 floppy will work per core, depends on size of your switch, although switch does use a compression utillity as well.
Only the active IOUD/C does the backup during the midnights, presuming that LD 43 is in your DROL routines.
