| Problem Resolved. The phone is defective. I found a 32 button phone not in use, and plugged it into my line. It works fine.
I took this 16 button to another station that already has a 16 button, and got the same result. The problem seems to follow this particuar phone, and doesn't appear to be a system wide problem.
I still have no explaination as to why it was working before, and after unplugging it, it now does this. If anybody has any suggestions on that matter, I would be happy to hear them.
