I just stumbled into this thread while researching an issue and thought I'd join and say hello. I bought the first AltiGen system for my company in 2002 for a satellite office. We were moving to a new office and expanding beyond what our phone system could handle, so I was forced to buy a new system. I decided to take us in the direction of VoIP so I could one day tie the two company phones together. After a several month search and a lot of research I finally went with an Altigen Small Business system. I have never regretted that decision. In 2005 I convinced our Board of Directors to spend the money and upgrade our main offices to an Altigen Office 3G server. We have 10 IP705 / 132 analog phones in our main office and 18 IP705 / 24 analog in our branch office. In our main offices we are about to expand into a new building across the alley from our existing location, and we're out of analog lines into the Altigen, so we're going all VoIP. I've invested in Layer 2 switches with POE so that the phones are powered from the server room (which is on generator) rather than from the desktop.

I'd be more than happy to share whatever I have learned about Altigen in this forum.
