| You can insert the board hot, they are designed for that and there is no service impact. The PBX will see it automatically and once the lights go out on the board it is ready to use. You will program your analog phones the same way you already do, just use the new board's ports.
Your comment about wires running to the wall from the C carrier leads me to ask, do you have a punch tool and have you ever run crossconnects?
Also, what type of analog card are you getting? If it is a TN793, it has 24 ports and you will use every pair at the wallfield except the last one. If it is something else, then your crossconnects could be different. __________________
