Another isdn question if you can help. We have 5 digit dialplan. For tollfree inbound on isdn, telco says they can deliver calls multiple ways. Ex: for 800-222-2565 they said they could delete 6 prefix 2 + 2565. Then in pbx call handling we could delete those 5 digits and insert any 5 digit vdn OR they could delete all 10 digits or they could send 4 digits. What is the purpose of telco sending digits? When would you want them to send a 'prefix' plus digits?
I'm trying to set a standard for tollfree inbound but there are so many options. What would you ask telco to send for toll free inbound to a 5 digit dialplan. Thanks
