| This should you get you up and running on a very basic level, I am more of a Siemens man, so I hope this helps but did a little Alcatel installs. ALCATEL SYSTEM SETUP (pre-installation) Step 1: Make sure that all cards are present and accepted; this is in Hardware & Limits, sub menu Main Cabinet, then check Software Key Features to see what you are enabled for. Step 2: Plug Advanced telephone into slot 1/1 check to see if working, then work your way down to initialize ports. (If possible use correct telephones). Step 3: Adding lines by default if ISDN, first go to External Lines, sub menu List of Trunk Groups, on Index 1 (access 9) & add further lines if required, go to Link-Cat & set Normal + Restricted from 16 to 1. Step 4: List of Accesses - Trunk Groups check that your line access is present. Step 5: Traffic Sharing & Barring - Check that your Barring Tables are set for you to dial out, by default it is set to 2 (0 + 141), local calls only, 7 bypasses all barring. For External Diversion go to Joining & tick boxes 1 + 4. Step 6: System Misc. - Feature Design - Part 2 tick box for Transfer EXT/EXT & Part 3 change Conference to Unrestricted. Step 7: Change Password to ********, for future access Step 8: First analogue port when system comes out of box is set for FAX, change it by going to Subscribers then d/c the extension, go to Services – Service 1 should be changed to Telephone. Mailboxes on analogue ports must be deleted to get dial tone for int/ext. Step 9: Subscribers – Extension – Details – Features – Part 1 tick External Diversion, Part 2 tick 3 boxes for Join Incoming & Outgoing etc. Regards DanB Last edited by Danbhalah : 12-16-2006 at 09:35 PM. |
