Tried that once...never again. My $90 ticket never got fixed (no fault of my cop buddy), his contacts just didn't get it done. I had moved and never updated my address on my license. when I finally did and went for a new one, the old douche bag at at the DMV said my license was supended.
My $90 ticket became $250 + the $90 plus a 5-year mark on my record of a suspended license.
