| Somewhere in the physical network between your i2004 you are experiencing a duplex mismatch...given you are experiencing this when transcoding between IP and TDM it is probably where the VGMC connects on the TLAN.
Most Nortel prodcut is set up as Autonegotiate out of Box...so if your forced full anywhere any you are talking to a device that can only Autonegotiate you end up with a duplex mismatch. Autonegotiate will match speed with forced network ports but sets itself to half duplex, which is why you are getting one way speech.
