| Thanks so much for the advise. I will follow the same procedure then. I do have a follow-up question about shutting down. I noticed that all programs call for moving a jumper into BAT position before programming, but dont mention about moving the jumper back into its original position and neither is it mentioned what that position is? Why is this necessary? What is the jumper "normal" position and what is the significance of moving it to BAT? I am assuming BAT means the SRAM is feeding from the internal battery, but how can this affect whether the settings are saved afer power-OFF or not? The manual makes it clear - if you dont move the jumper your programming will NOT be preserved if you power OFF the PBX. My question is why? What does it matter if the SRAM is powered by the battery or by the power supply, assuming that the position opposite to BAT is POWER or something like that? I suppose I am missing something about the internal CPU design of the common control board? Thanks ~Boyan |
